About Us
Child Care Network/Washtenaw Regional 4C is dedicated to working with communities to develop quality care for children that is safe, accessible and affordable.
CCN has been providing services to families and early childhood professionals since 1977. A proud member of the statewide Michigan 4C Association.
- Child Care Network is part of a statewide network of 16 regional 4C offices (Community Coordinated Child Care) that together comprise the Michigan 4C Association. These agencies provide child care support services in every county of Michigan.
- Child Care Network's service area includes five counties in South East Michigan: Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe and Washtenaw Counties.
- We list detailed information on over 1,200 licensed child care sites, providing referrals to approximately 7,500 families each year. For more information on referral services, click here.
- Child Care Network provides training and provider support through numerous programs throughout our region. For more information on training/support opportunities, click here.
- Our Family Support Programs provide child care financial assistance to over 450 low-income children each year in Washtenaw, Jackson and Monroe counties. For more information on Family Support services, click here.
- Child Care Network hosts a regional Early Childhood Conference annually.
- Child Care Network actively educates those in our communities about issues affecting children's well being. We provide a resource for information about national, state and local legislation, current research and best practices in the field.
- Child Care Network houses resource libraries in several of our six offices, collaborates in human service referrals with dozens of social service agencies; and fields thousands of calls for technical assistance/child care information from parents, providers, legislators and businesses.
- Child Care Network is funded by grants, corporate contracts and contributions.
