Resource and Referral Services
Child care referrals are referrals only, not recommendations as to program quality. Michigan's child care licensing standards
are based on health, safety and newly added training requirements, and do not guarantee a high level of quality. CCN provides parents with consumer information (click here for Quality Checklist) in order to help parents make a decision as they visit various programs.
Child Care Network provides referrals to families seeking child care anywhere within our five county region. Our consultations include discussions about recognizing quality child care, appropriate settings for each child's age, and parenting resources. Additional information and assistance is available to families with special needs. This information can be shared by phone, fax, e-mail, or direct mail delivery. There is no charge for this service.

Child Care Network can assist you in accessing child care services and support. Please call us at 800-777-2861 or send us an email.
Request A Referral
You may use our web form to request child care referral information. Please fill out the web form, completing all relevant information. If more than one choice applies to a particular question, please select all that apply to your situation.
We will compile a list of providers who match your requirements. The information will be sent to you via mail, fax, or e-mail, depending on which option you select.
Referral requests will be completed within 1 business day.
CCN does not share client information with outside agencies or business , nor sell its client information to outside parties. We share information only if required by our contracts with funding sources such as Michigan DHS.

Complaints
To obtain Complaint History Information about licensed child care providers, you may view provider information including complaint investigations at the State of Michigan Department of Human Services, Office of Children and Adult Licensing website http://www.cis.state.mi.us/brs_cdc/sr_lfl.asp
If you need to file a complaint, forms are accessible on the web at http://www.michigan.gov/documents/comp__frm_50821_7.pdf or you may file a complaint on line at http://www.michigan.gov/dhs/0,1607,7-124-5439-80945--,00.html through the State of Michigan Department of Human Services.
Child Protection Law
Michigan's Child Protection Law defines child abuse and neglect as harm or threatened harm to a child's health or welfare by a parent, legal guardian or any other person responsible for the child's health or welfare. Please report any suspected child abuse to the local child protective service office at the Michigan Department of Human Services nearest you.
