What is CCCA?

Stakeholders met and created this training to help support and educate Child Care Center Administrative Professionals. These trainings are very center-focused and geared toward Child Care Center Directors, or those aspiring to be in a Director or Assistant Director role.

The materials and curriculum were created by Michigan Department of Education (MDE) using materials from the National Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance and MDE’s Blueprint for Action! Business Tips and Tools for Getting it All Done.

Trainers have been trained in presenting these topics, and make the material interactive and interesting.

How can CCCA Benefit child care programs?

The full series provides 30 hours of content and meets the following child care administration licensing requirement for Program Directors:
Rule 400.8113 (9): All program directors shall have at least 2 semester hours or 3.0 CEUs in child care administration or have an administrative credential approved by the department. These semester hours may satisfy a portion of the requirements of subrules (7) and (8) of this rule. The program director may also use 30 hours of administrative training from MiRegistry to meet these requirements.
