Family Support Program
The Family Support Program (FSP) provides short-term child care scholarships to help families reduce stress, move toward greater financial stability, and access the care their children need. Scholarships are awarded based on family need, eligibility, and the availability of funding in each county we serve.
This program proudly serves Branch, Genesee, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw Counties in southeast Michigan. Outside of these counties? Please visit Great Start to Quality and Child Care Aware to find services in your area.
You may be eligible if you and all able-bodied adults in the home are:
working;
going to school (high school or undergraduate);
attending a job training program;
seeking employment; and/or
experiencing a life-crisis situation

What Comes Next?
Please note that our funding is limited, and while we wish we could support every family, it is not always possible.
Applications are reviewed around the 15th of each month. If funding is available, we will contact you with scholarship details before the end of the month. If not, your application will remain on file for consideration in the following months. Applications are valid for six months.
The Family Support Program serves Branch, Genesee, Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw Counties.
