Family Support Program
The Family Support Program (FSP) provides short-term child care scholarships to help families reduce stress, move toward greater financial stability, and access the care their children need. Scholarships are awarded based on family need, eligibility, and the availability of funding in each county we serve.
This program proudly serves Branch, Genesee, Jackson, Hillsdale, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw Counties in southeast Michigan. Outside of these counties? Please visit Great Start to Quality and Child Care Aware to find services in your area.
You may be eligible if you and all able-bodied adults in the home are:
working;
going to school (high school or undergraduate);
attending a job training program;
seeking employment; and/or
experiencing a life-crisis situation
Steps to apply:
1. Complete the Request for Application form- please note that this is not the application.
This will automatically place you on our waitlist.
*Please note that we serve Southeast Michigan, only. Please visit Child Care Aware to find services in your area.
2. We will contact you- please keep an eye on your email! Wait time depends on the status of our funding, our current caseload, and how many families are ahead of you on our waitlist. Please note that we currently have limited funding and we do not have an estimated wait time.
